Stars on Tatiara Terrace 13, 14 from Virtual Quilter

Mostly simple piecing, reusing many of the same shapes for every block. These sorts of designs would be made easier for beginners by making less blocks in bigger sizes, which means some play time for me to see what some 3×3 and 5×5 designs would look like.

My favourite of these two is the first one.

Very neat regimental formation!

A very interesting mix of 6 different blocks, all based on the same grid.

I like both designs for different reasons.

Another project file with five fabrics in a similar colours range, but with enough contrast to show the overall design.

I prefer the second design. It just needs some yellow/gold to represent the national colours of Australia.

Interesting … at first glance all the star blocks are identical, but five of them are a bit different.

Same border stars, then a row of different stars, and the ones in the centre have more points again!

Stars on Tatiara Terrace 5, 6 from Virtual Quilter

A few years ago I started a heap of block design projects, and they can be identified by the colours I used … this is one of them!

I like the one above … nice, different … and in case you haven’t noticed, green!
